The massacre that took place at a Jason Aldean concert on October 1st in Las Vegas left our country reeling in nauseating horror. Fifty-nine people lost their lives and hundreds more were injured in the dash away from peppering bullets that lasted for 10 to 15 minutes.
Tragedies like this shooting make it easy to question God’s sovereignty. How could He allow something like this to happen? Even the thought of losing someone close to us triggers a feeling of grief that’s hard to wrap our minds around.
In light of Vegas, we’ll be focusing on finding hope within devastation this week. The Lord promises to be near those who call upon Him, and He is with us even in turmoil and loss.
