Do you ever look at “momentary afflictions” as preparing you for something so wonderful that there’s nothing on earth that can even compare?
When God says He’s preparing us for a “glory beyond all comparison,” He’s referring to finally seeing him face-to-face in all power and perfection in heaven. We get a glimpse of how inexplicable and tremendous God’s glory is when He passes by Moses on a mountain. He tells Moses in Exodus 33:22-23, “While my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen.”
The trials we experience here on earth are simply getting us ready for splendor we aren’t even able to endure yet.
